Burg Gleiberg Concerts 2024-2025

Extra place. We have rested here and discovered some history. Perfectly restored, beautiful, full of green. Many treating places, just wanted to have some picnic ;) worth to see, you can drive almost strict to the castle and just have a little walk.

Great staff , service & menu. The view is breath taking and inspiring. Went with a big hiking group and the food was served fast and organized. The medieval vibes is Top! Would totally recommend and go back again. (Also got lovely souveniers )

This is a both a functional castle, with restaurant, store, and event venues, and a ruin. It is easy to see the skeleton of the older parts of the castle, there are a variety of plaques that describe when different parts were built and destroyed, the tower is open for visitors and has a 1 euro telescope to scan the expansive views around it. It sits centrally in a valley and offers some breathtaking views, especially at sunset.

Definitely one of the coolest places to be at when you're visiting Gießen. Absolute stunning view
