Galgenbergschlucht Concerts 2024

As always, I really enjoyed the final concert of this year's Handel Festival. The best thing is to hear the hallelujah and the fireworks music. This year I really liked the fireworks.

Handel Festival final concert on June 12, 2022: Unfortunately, the sound quality was not great. Dixi toilets were used as toilets and the lighting on the sidewalks was inadequate, so one person fell. The furnishings for an anniversary (100th Handel Festival) with beer tent benches and no other decoration were also very sparse. The music and fireworks were great though.

Nice manageable venue in the middle of the green and yet in the city.

We arrived from the Upper Harz full of anticipation for the concert in the Galgenbergschlucht. The deciding factor for our ticket purchase was the announcement by Joe Lynn Turner, the ex-singer of Deep Purple and Rainbow. After we were greeted, the opening music came on. Then another greeting and then the announcement that Joe Lynn Turner had canceled due to illness. We were shocked and disappointed. Unfortunately there was no notification via email. Never here again!
