The castle is used and managed by an excellent, non-profit association, but is also being rebuilt in accordance with listed buildings. The castle is not only a cultural space, but also a living and working space. The interesting history and much more information can be found on the website. Here are also the events for which the castle is open. Otherwise, the castle is private and not open to the public, which is also signposted at the gate.

Batzdorf Castle was on the way from Meissen above the Elbe, on a hike. It has existed since the 14th century, was renovated by private initiative in 1992 and today families find an apartment here. It will be open to visitors for events. The death house is located nearby above the Elbe. It can be rented for celebrations. Both buildings are well preserved.

Very hidden but wonderfully romantic castle! Events take place here and people can celebrate. Cheers to the hard-working castle people!
