Burg Scharfenstein Concerts 2025

Amazing place. For the price of 6 eur we entered the exhibition and cinema. In the cinema two films were shown. One was about No9 Spirituosenmanufaktur and one was about the castle's history and the renovations. In the shop, a very competent lady let me taste a few of the Nine Springs bottlings, and they were amazing! I bought 3 bottles, and she gave me a few extra things for free. Amazing service! Very friendly and competent staff, with whom you could actually have a reasonable talk about whisky. The 0,5L bottles cost 26 EUR for a (extremely delicious) rye and about 40-55 EUR for single malts which is not expensive at all for the quality. Other products like liqueur and brandies are also sold. A high recommend from me!!!

Beautifully restored castle with great views over the surrounding countryside. Inside is the local distillery which has a short tour and tastings. Award winning local whisky, gin and rum. Absolutely worth a visit for whisky lovers or just for a coffee. Lovely walks in the neighbourhood add to the experience.

Picturesque castle on top of a hill with great German Single Malt Whiskey. The tour is worth it for 8€ as you get a glass of whiskey to taste. However the movie shown on the tour could have English subtitles so that non-German speaking audience could enjoy it further.
