If you like music this museum is fantastic. We visited with 3 kids between the ages of 8 and 17 and they all had a good time. It took us a couple hours to go through the museum and see all the instruments. There were a few interactive stations where you could listen to some of the old instruments. A must see if you are in Leipzig and love music.

You can't believe how many instruments are in this place! All are protected behind plastic containers so you can't touch but you'll marvel anyway. I play the string bass professionally and they had a bass that only the Jolly Green Giant could have played as it was so huge!

Remarkable homage to things that have gone toot through European history.

Great little museum, cheap to get in, was very quite, nicely air conditioned for what was a very hot day. Exhibits were well presented and the variety of musical instruments was fantastic.
