Love the emphasis on Clara. The interactive sound room was great too! We went in the holidays so it was quiet but during schooltime there are small kids running around.

Not much here to inform on two of the greatest lights in classical music. Also, the recorded guide was misleading about biographical facts of the Schumanns’ lives. Quite sad.

Displeased experience as an asain tourist. I went to the museum yesterday afternoon. One woman was talking with the counter staff. I waited. Before she was leaving to see the museum, two deutsch people came and standed beside me. What striking me firstly was that the staff said "Hallo" to the deutsch people. I was totally ignored. I was unpleasant but toleratedand waited cause I didnt want to make a problem and wanted to keep only good memory at here. I standed there about 10 minutes. The boy staff talked to them ceaselessly. I tried to meet his eyes, but he just kept talking to the old woman as if I was invisible man. I regret. I just had to go inside the museum. And if he had catched me, I would have said to him "Could you see me? I just behaved as an invisible man cause you regarded me as an invisible man." I asked to one woman who was leaving the museum if there is anything to see. She said that there's nothing to see and very disappointed about the exhibitions. She recommended me to go to mendelssohnhaus.

Nice but small exhibit on one floor (second floor) dedicated to the Schumanns, Robert and Clara. This museum is interestingly embedded within a school building, so don't be confused when entering. Not all of the exhibit features are bilingual (some require you to use a QR code and device to see English translations) so if you don't read/speak German, you may be at a slight disadvantage. There seemed to be an emphasis on Clara (which is nice) but some more info about Robert's depression and end of life would have been nice, but maybe this is deemed too negative.

Friendly staff. The story of the Schumann couple, as recounted by the museum, is moving. Great range of Schumann music to listen to. The building seems to be shared with a school.
