A most beautiful experience! Beautiful castle with a back garden as well as long walkways near the castle. One ticket (in winter time) was 9€ and you get a guide to walk you through the castle, on German or on English. Very nice!

Great palace, with a lot of history, nice park and super informative guide. One of the few palaces in Germany that has not been bombed during WWII, very recommendable

Ludwigsburg Residential Palace is one of the largest Baroque buildings in Europe to survive in its original condition. We joined the guided tour and was shown the magnificent interiors of the palace. You pretty much got the idea how they lived during those days. I especially was facinated by the artwork that were done in all the ceiling. But of cos, photos were not allowed. But if you have a chance, please visit and engage the guided tour.

The palace is huge. You can only visit it via a guided tour. There are German and English tours available. Visit the website for the hours info. The tour is really nice, you find out a lot of things. You can’t take pictures inside though. I highly recommend it. Unfortunately, the Ceramics and Fashion Museum was closed and I didn’t get a chance to see the gardens, but I think those are worth visiting in summer and maybe spring and autumn, but not winter. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this place if you’re around.

Lovely palace with a lavish garden. It can be visited only through a 1 hour guided tour. Though the palace has more than 450 rooms, the tour includes about 8-10 rooms. The tour in German takes place every 1/2 hour, whereas the English Tour takes place once or twice a day. Check the website before planning a visit. Inside, photography is not allowed. The rooms are worth a visit and the tour guide explains the story behind the palace and the duke in an interesting and engaging way. In addition, there are quite a few interesting bits like optical illusions through the paintings on the ceiling, etc. Worth a visit if you like history.
