Great open-air stage! Cool exposure, available bar, seat cushions. You don't really need anything more. I had a great evening with a fantastic performance of Alice in Wonderland. A little tip: You should definitely take a blanket with you (even in warm temperatures). Sitting for a long time causes you to cool down quite quickly.

Magnificent and attractive with the three large arches and located in the middle of the castle park; a wonderful backdrop especially for classical music orchestras. An open-air stage with a good view of the action on stage, even from the upper tiers, and equally good acoustics. The classical music evening at the start of the city festival (3 days of Marburg) takes place here every year on the 2nd weekend in July. Among others, the Marburg Student Symphony Orchestra (SSO) plays very, very well and sublimely. The stage is framed from the left and right by mighty castle park trees - when you sit there and such an orchestra plays, you feel like you are in a fairy tale. Taking a walk around the nearby castle after the performance reinforces the fairytale feeling - a little vacation from the often stressful real world. There are fairly clean toilets in the immediate vicinity of the Schlossparkbühne. In the summer months, the Schlossparkbühne is often converted into an open-air cinema by installing a huge, inflatable screen in front of the stage. Visits to the Schlossparkbühne are always worthwhile because it is a unique setting. I still have one point of criticism: The benches are hard and uncomfortable and some are even damaged, so check before you sit down. For this reason a star deduction. At least pillows should be distributed. And especially if you want to sit for several hours, I recommend taking one chair cushion per person. There is barrier-free access through the side entrances, not through the main entrance.
