St. Mary's Church, Marienberg Concerts

Graceful, beautiful and down to earth... just like the church in a mountain town should be. 👍 Unfortunately there was only time for a short "external inspection". However, the pictures of the interior make another visit mandatory. 😉

I've already been here to the "open church" - it was a space of silence. But on Sunday, September 3, 2023, there was a concert: 180 elementary school students sang songs by J. S. Bach as a choir as part of the Bach and Silbermann Days. During a project week, students from Marienberg elementary schools rehearsed the songs together with Ms. Trüün. It was a very nice event - also with a lot of goosebumps! The students did really well! And it should also be mentioned that the acoustics in St. Marien are really great. The afternoon sun shone through the windows...

We were baptized in 2021 and had a church wedding in 2022. They were very nice moments. The church is really impressive. We like to go to St. Mary's Church

Very beautiful and large church in the city center of Marienberg. The tower and the mighty roof dominate the townscape. It is an open church which also offers guided tours, including a tower tour with prior registration. The organ with 3,158 pipes, renovated between 2011 and 2013, is a masterpiece in sound and appearance.

A very beautiful church in the heart of Marienberg. You should see it once you're there. The chancel is beautifully designed with a beautiful altar. There is also a disabled-accessible entrance. Clear recommendation to take a look at it 👍
