Great way to spend an afternoon. The tunnels double as a fantastic subterranean roller coaster, great fun!

Very fun to do! The guides drive you arround in open trucks, it seems like an underground safari. This combined with interesting info, a museum and a good dose of humor from the guides gives you a fun activity. In total you are doing a trip of ~20km at a depth of 500m, with various stops. It looks like they are driving fast, but it is part of the fun experience. I probably wouldn't recommend it to smaller kids (or kids that don't like amusements park rides). The elevator from the mine might look intimidating, and goes quite fast, but it accelerates very gently.

I wouldn't have thought so myself in the first place, but this is really worth a visit. Almost Rollercoaster-like ride through the mines, a number of interesting spots with a good amount of information, really well done!!!

A fascinating experience to be 1/2 mile underground, traveling by vehicle and to see the GOLD room, crystal caves and so much more. You MUST see it for yourselves. Well worth the experience. Merkers Mine 2016 June
