Open-air stage with space for around 400 spectators in the stands. It all seems a little old, but there are regular and varied programs/concerts throughout the summer season.

Very good theater. Last year during our summer vacation in the Harz we attended a concert event. This time we visited the family musical Peter Pan from the Anders-Welt-Theater with our niece. The piece was superbly done. Both of us adults and our niece had a lot of fun here. We recommend. Afterwards, our niece was able to get her make-up done at the family party (also organized by the theater), shot cans with the fire brigade and their hose (bucket syringe / old fire extinguisher with hand pump), searched, there was ambrust shooting, food and drink were also good. A magician with balloons took great care of the little ones and there was also a walk-in ball on a water basin. All in all a nice family event!

Störtebeker Festival in the South Harz. My association during the piece played. We were guests at 'Thomas Müntzer' at the Waldbühne on June 4th. We thought the performance was great! It was surprisingly impressive, dramatic, exciting and eventful - or rather, action-packed! A total of around 60 actors were involved in the piece. On the one hand, the scenes were quite diverse and gave an impression of the life and work of Thomas Müntzer in the time of the Peasants' Wars at the beginning of the 16th century, on the other hand, many different means/effects were used that surprised and captivated: (trombone - ) Choir, apocalyptic riders with horses who appeared on stage, shadow worlds of the South Harz and much more - so as not to give everything away. I really liked the argument between Müntzer and Luther. Overall, 'Tomas Müntzer' is highly recommended for children (my 10-year-old son was with me): because of the liveliness of the piece, the diverse scenes and because of the message and historical significance. For children/students in the region as well as Saxony-Anhalt/Thuringia, this is a really worth seeing play as a living history lesson. It's a great production and very interesting for young and old. Stolberg can be happy that the local Otherworld Theater makes theater here with so much passion and effort (or more accurately: it lives) and promotes culture in the area with cultural events (various plays, concerts by well-known and talented singers, family play 'Peter Pan' and much more). Southern Harz and tourist resort Stolberg very enriched! The events on the Waldbühne, especially 'Peter Pan', are great events for the summer and holiday season!

Every town would be happy if it had a forest stage like this! Yesterday we went to a presentation about the life and work of Thomas Müntzer, who is Stolberg's son. The entire performance is performed by amateur actors. Many Stolberg women and men took part. You have to be amazed at what has been “put together” there in the truest sense of the word. Long texts, e.g. Müntzer's sermon and the dispute between him and Luther and not forgetting the women in the market. The narrator of the story was remarkable. All in all, a successful performance. The stage design, especially the depiction of the peasant army during the battle on the Schlachteberg in Frankenhausen with its demise, was excellently depicted with few resources. The cannon fire made some people very frightened. The highlight was the appearance of the horses and the actors from the Wild Hunt. We were positively surprised by the whole performance and wish you continued success. Isn't there a sponsor who could support the theater financially? The Knauf company operates very close by. There's definitely money there and it doesn't have to be hundreds of thousands.

Historic place. Where very good events also take place.
