We visited here on a Wednesday, turns out that this was a free entry day. There were loads of exhibits, lots of interesting paintings including some by Pablo Picasso and also lots of sculptures. There's lots of really old historic paintings here too some dating back well before the 1700s. The gallery itself took us about 2 hours to walk around and we really enjoyed it a great way to escape the rain, but we actually really enjoyed the artwork.

It is worth all of the time to go there! I think if you are a real lover of the art, you need at least 2-3 hours to properly go through each painting and other exposition. Make sure to take an informational paper with the scheme of the museum, otherwise, you will easily get lost. But even if you do, all of the kind personnel of the gallery would kindly suggest you where to go and how. People speak German and English, so don’t worry about the language barrier. Also explanations in each room are in both languages, which is very thoughtful. Overall, a good place for adults and kids, can only recommend :)

We really enjoyed the Art Gallery. We arrived when an exhibition of works by Modeliani was taking place. In the Gallery Halls there are many paintings from different eras, from the early Middle Ages to the 40-60s of the last century. There are paintings of world celebrities. Large collection of French impressionists. Very interesting. I couldn't see everything in one day. It's tiring. That's why I'll come here again.

I had one of the worst experiences ever trying to visit this art gallery. At the ticket desk, it says no bags allowed. But no bag dimensions. To me, a bag typically means a backpack. I had a mini purse that had my credit cards, glasses, medicine, and some cash in it. When I went to check my coat at the coat check, the man standing there was trying to insist that I leave this mini wallet size purse with him. I refused and he said there’s a no bag policy. This doesn’t constitute a bag. If you’re going to instate a bag policy, you have to post the dimensions. I did not feel comfortable leaving my belongings at a coat check, not to mention, it’s also obvious I had nothing in this mini purse that would do anything to any artwork. If that’s what they were concerned about, then they should search people’s bags like other museums or galleries all around the world do. So I decided to leave then and not view the artwork because I was being treated so terribly. I couldn’t get my money back at the gallery so I had to contact my credit card company to revoke the charge from my account. So make sure if you’re going to visit you don’t bring even a purse or prepare to check it.

Nice and modern styled gallery. I definitely recommend visiting. For students the entry is free :)
