Not every change is good. We are guests at the sea cabaret every year. New this year: €2 for parking between the drinks crates, no service in the hall, an Aperol Sprizz that would have liked a shot more in the glass, no catering (except for an - excellent - large pretzel). The reading of the (im)possibles was over after 75 minutes and we asked ourselves what we wanted to do with the evening that had begun. In the past, Meerkabaret's evening events were, on the whole, successful. One of the three points goes to the fresh pretzel.

Gitte Haenning in the sea cabaret. We had to look at that. Well done. Warm summer evening, a lounge was set up outside in front of the sea cabaret. Very nice. The price was - in my personal opinion - 10% too high, but otherwise a successful evening. The free use of public transport and the shuttle service after the event are also good.

Was here on August 22nd with Horst staircase. An original lounge-style outdoor area invites you to linger before performances and during breaks. When the weather is nice you can get a drink at the foyer bar and smokers are also taken into account here. Toilets in toilet trailers, a bit primitive but very clean and well maintained; unfortunately for wheelchair users due to. Stairs completely unsuitable. (I neglected to check whether there might be an alternative option for this in the building). The sea cabaret is run by an association with numerous very committed volunteers. There is a bit of a problem with professionalism in the operational process, but this is immediately compensated for by commitment, almost exuberant friendliness, improvisation and organizational talent. I had a very successful evening with reasonably priced drinks, great service (including a free shuttle bus after the performance) and a very nice audience with an astonishing number of Sylt residents, not only thanks to Horststiegr, who was in top form; almost fancy-free, except for a loud champagne-sipping birthday party from the usual Hamburg prosperity demonstrators. A big thank you to the club members who sacrifice their free time, and I only have one request for them: For visitors who don't arrive by SUV or luxury limousine: Proper signage from the bus stop (Rantum Nord) and the cycle path.
