Nice ruins on the side of a typical quiet German village. Located in nice green surroundings this is definitely worth a walk around. The ruins are mostly the foundations of the original castle and give a good idea of the size and layout. Ideal for kids to play around and adults to enjoy the peace and quiet.

We (my dog and I) visit the castle at least once a day. It's particularly nice here on warm days because there's always a breeze and there's shade. Unfortunately, the castle is repeatedly damaged and dirty with graffiti. Events take place here regularly and it's always worth taking a walk. When the weather is good, the castle is well attended.

Not much castle left, very nice for a walk and the Niers is less than 100 m away and there is a bench right next to the water near the stone frog to take a break and on weekends canoe groups often come by or large inflatable boats
