Very beautiful ruin where events often take place in the summer. There is a special stage for this. Also often used as a wedding location. The castle was built around 1200 and stood here until it burned down in 1618. In 1688-1692 the castle was rebuilt as a palace, as the seat of the governors of Wildberg. In February 1945 the castle was destroyed by an air raid. One day before Pforzheim was also destroyed. The population was now allowed to serve themselves here. They collected stones to rebuild their destroyed houses. In 1950 the castle was completely demolished. Basically only the outer walls are still standing, but still worth a trip. The whole thing is barrier-free. You can even park right in front of the castle, there are a few parking spaces there. There are also a few other parking spaces next to the castle, which are a little more hidden around the corner. Very nice trip, we'll be back😊
