Freibad In der Mirke Concerts

A wonderful place, enlivened by a committed association that is working towards reopening as a natural outdoor pool. The area is also frequently used for high-quality cultural events.

I visited the outdoor pool as 'Hotel Feuertal' as part of the 'Feuertal' festival and stayed there overnight as a camping guest. I think it's great that there are private initiatives that keep outdoor pools open when the public sector gives them up! My respect for that, dear Freibad Mirke team. We had a great camp, great organization - much better than at other festivals. Therefore: Clear recommendation for all Feuertal visitors!

I was here on Open Monument Day at the finissage of Caroline Schreer's photo exhibition “Wuppertal I see you” with sound by Charles Petersohn. At the moment, the Mirke outdoor pool is just a canvas for what could come: a magnificent natural pond fed by a stream. But at the moment it's just an empty, turquoise pool with red chairs - with a tiny pool in the middle. And everything else is very much up in the air.

Hotel Feuertal was great. Thanks for the great breakfast! Your project is great. We keep our fingers crossed that it will work soon!

Had a lovely evening despite the rain. Everyone involved did their best and was in a good mood!
