The Workmans Club Concerts 2024-2025

The place is actually nice, bit small for concerts but has a unique atmosphere. Bar is quite small too but you will find your drink. The mood was great, concerts were awesome. Definitely would go back. We were at Sly5thAve.

My wife and I wound up here after we decided to skip the Temple Bar because it was packed with barely standing room. The Workman's Club was low key but very welcoming. We found a table and ordered burgers and fries for dinner. We each got a local beer to go with our food, everything was very good and a lot less expensive than the Temple Bar. Would definitely go there again given the chance.

Saw a Fanny Lumsden gig in the Workman's Cellar and it was a great show! The place has a vaudeville vibe and is a bit quirky. The bar was out of ingredients for some of the cocktails though, but nonetheless a great night out!

Entering the venue, we single-handedly inflated the average age. It's the kind of place I would have adored in my youth, but now it just makes me self-conscious. Despite that, we still ventured in for the comedy club, where the only people in our age group (thankfully) were some stand-up comedians. The atmosphere is cool, the music a blast from the (my, basically) past, and the youngsters were clearly having a ball. However, the downside was the appalling state of the toilets: unkempt, lacking paper, with enormous queues.

What a strange place this is it is like student digs very unkempt, it's like being in a crack den. However the service was really good in terms of booze and politeness and the comedy noght was fantastic. It was very intimate almost like you are sat in someone's front room. Comedy acts are great some better than others but we had a fantastic time. Obviously didn't get any food so cant comment. Well worth the 12 euros!
