Ashdown Park Hotel Concerts 2024

Stayed in a deluxe room over the Easter break. Close proximity to Gorey town. The room size was good but quite dated, in particular the bathroom which really let the room down. A few stains on the carpet and marks on the wardrobe - could definitely do with some modernising. Service and check quite poor, on two occasions I couldn’t even contact reception. The biggest shock of all room service didn’t appear to be available - I tried to order a sandwich and was told we would be charged extra but wait for it - they had no coleslaw!!. Breakfast was decent with something for everyone. All in a score of 6/10 would be fair.

Had dinner in the bar with a group of girlfriends. Service was very good. Selection of food could be better. Food was good,bit pricey. Desserts were not good very very basic and small portions for the price.

Staff are amazing. Very friendly and very helpful. The restaurant staff brought out desert with a candle on it,singing happy birthday for my daughter ( Thank you) Hotel is lovely and clean. Food is really really good. The swimming pool,sauna,steam room and jacuzzi is nice. The playground for kids is really good if ye have kids with ye. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Recently dined in the Rowan Tree Restaurant and was disappointed to see a change in menu and pricing. There were four of us who are regular customers at the hotel and upon ordering our meal discovered you no longer get potato and vegetables unless you pay an extra four fifty per side order. When I queried this with a staff member we were asked if we were on a package. So apparently hotel guests on a package automatically get potato and vegetables but regular customers have to pay extra. I feel it should be the same across the board, in my opinion a meal isn't a meal without potato and vegetables and there should not be an extra change

Food 5* Cleanliness 5* Bar/Hotel staff 5* Leisure staff 1* Our entire family(20+) have visited this hotel for the past 2 New Year's Evenings. We really love the hotel itself, however both year's we came away with bitterness and anger as the same member of staff from the pool was very rude even to the point where she would stare down the children and parents. We explained that one of our children has Autism and with that, sensory issues so he would not wear the shower cap. This did not seem to matter to her and we were stared at and made to feel so uncomfortable whilst we were supposed to be relaxing on a family vacation. Feeling so angry and annoyed leaving the hotel, solely for this reason we will not be having our wedding venue here, nor will we be visiting this hotel again.
