Radisson Blu Hotel Athlone Concerts

Such a fantastic hotel, spotless clean and pure calmness throughout my stay. Bar/lounge: it was so calm and clean, the food was lovely and good portions for kids meals. Meal menu wasn't great for side orders for a late night snack in the lounge for kids. Front of house staff were exceptional as we're staff at breakfast too. Our bathroom lock was broken and my partner locked himself in it but they couldn't fix the lock because it was a Sunday and there no maintaince, but offered us a new room, which we declined as we weren't going to be in the room much.

Have to say the hotel is great I love it since I'm here to see Nathan Carter with my nanny and it's great and the hotel is fab and it's handy the way it's so close near the town and what I loved the most was the venue for Nathan Carter very big and great and I especially Love the room and me and my nanny got ourselves a suite and it is AMAZING!! 😊🤩🥳🤯 very fancy I love the big bathroom and the view is lovley so all and all it's a great hotel Thanks a bunch Sincerely Amy

The food is quite good. There was an event on in the evening for approx 600 people. The hotel was visibly understaffed, which resulted in residents having to wait for long periods for service. We were a small party of about 20 persons and had booked a section in the lounge. On arrival, we were told that we were to be seated in an overflow area. The lounge had plenty of unused space, and we were not even afforded this area. Also, with staff, to a minimum, management was parading around doing nothing to alleviate the poor service being provided. Rooms were basic for a **** hotel. Was not impressed, to say the least. Will not be returning there and would not recommend it based on these issues.

Perfect for a quick getaway. In the center of the town. Beautiful views. Service was excellent. Not my first visit to the hotel. Bedroom this time was small. For a double room, there were two separate beds which seem to have been pushed together. A very small en-suite bathroom. On previous visits the rooms were bigger, both for the bedroom itself, and also the bathroom. The dining room was spacious, and service was excellent. The brasserie (?) serves food and drink right through the day, Will come again for a longer visit, and hope for a bigger room

We booked a night here are it was conveniently located with parking on site. The parking was rammed when we arrived. Which was a pain but we found some on street. When checking in I was asked to pay, but I paid online when I booked directly with the hotel website. It took a few minutes to confirm this. Upon check out I was asked for evidence I had paid. I showed an email which said there was no refunds and with the full amount. I was asked to log into my personal banking app to show them the payment. It felt a bit intrusive and I found it strange they didn't have the capability of checking the payment. I discovered the hotel attempted to take payment twice that morning. Seemingly the convulted system (which confounds even themselves) didn't take payment and I paid without issue once I had confirmation of this. The confusion on both sides of our stay led to us being late which put me under pressure. Really annoying when I chose this hotel for its convenience. Also, it's too hot. It's like an old folks home. You cannot control the temperature of your room. I pointed this out, as did other guests, on my last stay but I think they like their sauna like conditions.
