The village auditorium of Monforte d'Alba is actually an open area consisting of a very wide staircase next to the ancient local church. The auditorium is located at the top of the hill on which the town stands, the more modern part of which is located further down. So, to get there from where you can park your car, you have to take a short walk in the narrow streets of the old town, and they are quite steep, you have been warned! However, Monforte is really beautiful and the place where the auditorium is located is truly evocative during concerts, with the lit-up church next to it and the view over the rooftops of the old town. The auditorium is set up with quite comfortable chairs and benches, so it is not necessary to sit on the ground and on hot summer evenings it is also pleasantly ventilated.
