Teatro San Carlo Concerts 2025

An enchanting encounter in this theater - the exquisite red velvet armchairs, the luxurious box seats... it was a truly magnificent experience in a stunning setting.

This visit was the highlight of our trip! The theater is absolutely astonishing from the inside. Be sure not to miss it! There are 4 tours per day - 3 of them in Italian and one in English and Italian. We couldn`t arrive for the English one and we did the Italian one at 4:30 PM but at the end of the tour we asked the guide to tell us the main things and we learned interesting facts for the theater. A tour costs 9 euro and lasts 30 minutes. We waited for the group to go outside the main hall and made pictures with no people. I totally recommend to pay a visit here.

Oldest opera house in the world, even older than famous La Scala in Milano was built in 1737. Partially burned in 1816 and bombed in 1943 but recently renovated for 67 millions Euro. Went for the Italian opera Norma by Bellini. Theatre is huge inside, scarlet red velvet everywhere. 6 floors of opera boxes and royal box in the front. All balconies gilded. I was sitting in the 4th floor box 2 but visibility of the stage was almost zero. Chairs were old and not comfortable. At least I heard this masterpiece, Norma, and Casta Diva aria. Great experience.

We visited the Teatro San Carlo to see the opera La Bohème. The historic theatre left a lasting impression as soon as we entered. Not only the view of the stage, but also the halls were beautiful to look at and invited us to enjoy an aperitif during the interval. A visit with or without the opera is highly recommended!

San Carlo Theatre is a wonderful place. It is part of the opera history not only of Naples but of Italy and Europe too. It is a "must" either to visit it or see an opera.
