Joetsu Bunka Kaikan Concerts 2024

It was my first time using it. Although the building, restrooms, and stage curtains are showing signs of age, there are still many events scheduled, and I feel that it is an important facility for the locals. The capacity was approximately 1500 people.

It is often the venue for compulsory participation events for local communities and schools, so if you are a genuine Joetsu citizen, this is probably the place you have visited at least once. During the Showa era, they often screened children's movies that cost a few hundred yen. The buildings and Red Brick Square haven't changed much since ancient times, but if you look closely, you can see how old they are.

This time I was in the back seat at Chiharu Matsuyama's live performance. It felt unexpectedly close. I'm glad it was fun.

I was happy to see my favorite artist in my hometown. Although the concert was postponed due to the Great Tohoku Earthquake, I visited Niigata for the first time from Ehime and felt the joy of seeing my favorite artists in their hometown. The seats in the venue and the audience felt very close. The acoustics were also great!

I visited twice this year and last year for the prefecture's brass band competition. Although it is old, I think it is a necessary and sufficient hall. Although it was in the heat of summer, it felt quite hot. It must be difficult to control the temperature inside the building...
