Designed by Kisho Kurokawa. As a historical building, I would like it to remain with the name of Kisho Kurokawa for many years to come. A low-rise building that blends into the surrounding area while retaining the image of a baseball field on the site of a former baseball field. Black has a calming Japanese color scheme. Beautiful lighting in the characteristic atrium, stairs, and even the shadows of the light. Strength that does not falter even in the face of earthquakes. Although it is not flashy, it is Kisho Kurokawa's true strength in designing, taking into account the significance of the existence of the land and the original building, and considering harmony with the city. I want it to stay forever.

I visited as part of the National Cultural Festival event. The area is close to Kenrokuen and has a cultural atmosphere. The hall itself seems to have some history, and is a fine, old-fashioned hall. Approximately 1800 seats? The seats are also spacious. I was seated in the middle of the theater, but it was sloped so it was easy to see the performance.
