Great experience of the Edo era. You get to understand how things were built (through video) and see what the people of that era had in their house. Recommended to go into the houses and seat inside to experience what people of those time were going through. Tickets is reasonable (400yen, 500 yen for 3 museums, 2 of which is at another location) for a small but impressive musuem (if you like Japan culture) 1hour is a enough to experience this wonderful place.

It was raining in Tokyo so we decided to go to a museum. The Fukagawa Edo Museum was a great way to spend an hour or two. The replica of a small Edo-era town was built by craftsmen trained to build in this style, and the objects, including the fishing nets, are all original. A lot of work went into this display. Good value for money

Excellent full-scale exhibit with great details, which you can walk in and touch. Helpful guides, some of whom speak a little English. A lot of the information is translated into English, but not all of it. A great way to learn about Edo period life.

Nice museum to visit and learn about The Edo Period, it is very well made and has seasonal themes too. The staff inside the museum were very friendly and spoke well English, so it was easy to understand the exhibition and ask questions. A lot of exhibits are interactive so you can get in some of the houses and have a good experience. We stayed about an hour and a half and had a good time.

Must do! The modest entry is a nice way to get in. And doesn't prepare you for the main display. Which is amazing. If you like something authentic old with depth and purity. Go here. See how people used to live here.
