Suntory Hall Concerts 2024

Wonderful music hall in Akasaka. It is nearby the Roppongi 1 chome station. But the sign is not so clearly see so you might be confused with where it is. The hall is absolutely gorgeous and make the music around everyone’s ears. Wonder music performance makes the best experience here.

Excellent acoustics with a nice reverb plus simply gorgeous room and outer chambers. Heard the Beethoven concert and great articulation from a large group. Very courteous staff and many of them guiding you around keeping things orderly.

Amazing design and acoustics. And extra star for: Bar at the reception area offers a wide selection of beverages including Hibiki whisky.

Fantastic clear acoustics; audience is very silent; one of the best concert halls in the world! Went to listen to Vienna Phil and it was fabulous ; highly recommended

The main hall is built in the 80s using mainly wood. Large venue with stage at the center offering with excellent acoustics. The drawback is the seats are hard, highly outdated, and cramped. The seats are like reimagining Tokyo subway during rush hour when you are crunched like sardines. Caucasian will not fit into these chairs. The worst is how the venue is run mostly by staffs filled by female part-time high schoolers. Very unprofessionals. Photographing an empty stage is not even allowed for unexplained reason. Rather than asking you if your back is fine with these seats, the staffs immediately eye you when you are just checking your smartphones, worrying if the photos appear in social medias. Yet, people are taking photos, without slightest care, as they appear everywhere. With wars around the world and occasional incidents in the news about murders and people going postal, there is no security check at the entry to inspect bags and belongings. Your safety is not guaranteed. This venue is also filled with many high schoolers with their discount tickets. They will roam the place in groups, loud, with attitude and classless.
