Morioka Shimin Bunka Hall (Morioka Civic Cultural Hall) Concerts 2024-2025

Beautiful Mt. Iwate near the entrance in the morning and 20th floor observation deck in the afternoon! There are also many interesting architecture as well as Miniature locomotives and diesels!

This concert hall is located in the Marios building. It's easily accessible via the Morioka Station West Exit passageway. To get to the concert hall, enter Marios from the passageway and then take the escalator one floor down. There is another concert hall within the same building, so be careful to not get confused by the other concert hall. This hall has nice facilities. There is a good view of the stage from all seats. The concert hall has concerts for classical and traditional music.

My students had their speech contest here. The venue was beautiful with a giant organ.

GOOD

Above all, I like the observation floor on the 20th floor. You can see the entire north, south, east, and west of Morioka. It's next to the station so it's nice to see the Shinkansen. On the 4th floor, there is a restaurant and exhibits from the JNR era, so you won't get bored.
