Okayama Symphony Hall Main Hall Concerts 2024

We sometimes visit Symphony Hall to participate in my son's musical recitals. Okayama Symphony Hall is always clean and well presented. The on hand staff are helpful and respectful in all aspects. This hall is both convenient and smoothly operated by the staff. We are looking forward to using it to host our own event later this year.

Nice to roam too

On March 26, 2024, I went to the [Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra Ultimate Concerto Concert conducted by Nobuyuki Tsujii✖️Fumiaki Miura and Neil Thomson] at the large hall of Okayama Symphony Hall. This hall was close to Okayama Station and was a retro Showa building with impressive stained glass. The concerto performance by Mr. Tsujii, Mr. Miura, and the symphony orchestra was very good, but perhaps because the hall was old, the acoustics were lacking. Unfortunately, since I was seated on the top floor, the sound was low throughout, and I didn't get the feeling that the realism of the ``Ultimate Concerto'' reverberated throughout the hall. We were instructed to cut our own ticket stubs in advance, so entry was smooth.

R6.3.26 I wanted to hear Nobuyuki Tsujii's piano performance 🎹, so I bought a ticket 🎫. The tram stop from Okayama Station is far away, which is inconvenient 😑 It's a walking distance if your knees don't hurt. Okayama Station can be seen from Castle Station. The hall is on the 3rd floor, and you suddenly have to enter by stairs 😗 My feet hurt 😑 It's already ~ 😗 I went by myself, but since I had time to catch the Shinkansen on the way back, I was in the middle of the right area on the 1st floor, and there were 5 people on the right side. There were two seats, and there were two couples next to me. At the end of the first half of the performance, with 3 seats left until the end of the show, I was pressing the time, so I asked the person in charge if I could move so I could get out right away, but they said no because the seats were sold out😑 They weren't coming. , Of course, if you came in the middle of the day, you would have to go back to your seat 😑 They didn't give you a flyer 😑 (I got it on the way home 🤐, not in the program 🤐) I was annoyed that the person in charge was not flexible 💢, so the couple When I apologized for leaving in the middle and causing trouble, a beautiful lady said, ``Then let's change places. It's strange that you can't do it even though there are empty seats.'' Thanks to her kindness, she moved right after the encore. I was able to get on the tram right away 🙏 I had plenty of time on the Shinkansen 🙏 The orchestra in the hall was so small that it wasn't great. It feels like there is a violin player right behind Tsujii 🤔 I think it would be faster and better to get a re-admission ticket and go outside instead of using the restroom in the hall. It was half Japanese style and half Western style. I wish they would stop doing Japanese style 😑 There was an escalator on the way back, but I thought the hall was inconvenient and unfriendly for people with walking disabilities, and the young female staff members were unfriendly ☹️

At this day's concert, performers were allowed to post photos or videos of the last encore song on social media sites as long as they were about 10 seconds long. However, we were guided up a flight of stairs to reach the floor where the large hall of the performance venue was located. I felt that it might be a bit harsh for elderly people and people with weak bodies.
