Despite the weather, this was a great experience. The fans were loud and passionate (though not really reacting to the game in front of them) and the views weren’t as distant as I was expecting. Easy to buy tickets as a foreigner, with the staff displaying an English map and ticket prices, too. I’ll definitely look out for Cerezo results in future.

Went to see the J League Osaka derby. Fantastic atmosphere. Foreigners can buy the tickets online, download the QR code, and exchange them for paper tickets at the ticket center (pink tents). The fans cheered the teams throughout. The atmosphere was thunderous and electric. The opposing fans were trying to drown out each other. It was quite a sight.

A popular stadium known for its legendary Osaka derby matches between Cerezo and Gamba. The venue is rather large, but can be a pain to navigate. The staff on hand are often no very helpful either, so I would suggest you go through which ever entrance is closest to you, then walk to your seat gate (you may not be allowed to enter through the outdoor entrance near your seat). You're not allowed to be brings cans into the stadium, but they do provide paper cups for your to pour your drinks into. Food and drink are also available for purchase, and compared to American stadiums, are quite cheap, however they may be a line. The atmosphere is nice, but some of the staff working near the entrance can be quite unhelpful and rude at times, hence the low rating. The lack of accurate signage and maps can also be frustrating.
