Ryogoku Kokugikan Concerts 2024

We went here for a boxing match and loved this place!! The seats were so comfortable which makes a difference when watching a long event. Everything about this space is beautiful and pristine. The fight was amazing! I would love to watch a sumo match one day upon our return!

I highly recommend getting tickets in advance as they sell out quickly, especially during large tournaments. The energy in this stadium is unlike anything I've ever felt; it's an absolute blast. Inside the stadium, you'll find food, drinks, and beer available at very reasonable prices. If you're on the fence about seeing sumo, consider this a sign to purchase tickets. You won't regret it.

Attending the Sumo at the arena was an overall great experience. The event was very entertaining and was exciting. The arena building is incredible however the food offerings were not the highest quality.

Everyone visiting japan should experience watching a sumo tournament. What a great facility to enjoy the sport. There are no bad seats in this arena. The views wherever you sit have no an unimpeded view of the action.

Will be a 5* for most people and I feel guilty not giving it 5 today. It’s a wonderful arena and the 2 person box was lots of fun. Attended on a day when one of the senior sumo was retiring and although it was emotional and very interesting, it took 2 hours as 400 people came to cut 1 strand of his hair. Culturally great, but most locals were fast asleep half way through 😀😀 Was there for 5h 30m If you’re looking for a little more cut and thrust sumo I’d recommend the other tournaments away from the ‘Home of sumo’ as it’s very very traditional which can of course be a great thing too.
