This office provides many kinds of services you require as a citizen or a foreigner. Register and change the address, issuance of my number card, health insurance card and residence certificate are available in the city office. Apart from this, I usually visit this office for other reasons relented to my child. All services are of good quality and within the shortest possible time.

It is fine. Everyone is very polite. There is a reception to tell folks where to go and queue tickets to ensure visitors are served in order at each service desk. I had to tell an old gent to take a ticket by pressing a smartphone screen. He could have been in for a long wait. The offices are open plan so the staff can't slack too much. But it gives the impression of being overstaffed and not too efficient, like everything connected with the local council. For example there are loads of office staff in the swimming pools and sports centre. Paper is used in parallel with computerised systems which rather defeats the object of computerisation but they like paper and pressing seals. I think that the full time employees sit at desks at the back and all public interaction is left to part-timers, hence the politeness. The My Number Card photography is rudimentary, taken by a hand held iPad, with overhead rather than frontal lighting which makes us look older in the photo. It costs 1000 yen to make a new one if you lose it.

It's city hall. As helpful as expected.

I wish they would stop driving an official Toyota Probox car (with two speakers on the ceiling) with Yamaguchi City written on it and an elderly man (I forgot the license plate number) sticking to the car in front of him. In the morning of March 29, 2024, a man drove towards the Omata intersection on Kirihata, Hofu City (Prefectural Route 21), yelling at the Coop Yamaguchi car in front of him with a face like Konnyaro. What on earth are you thinking about when it comes to official cars? Previously, I was attacked in Akiho, and even though I reported it to the city hall, nothing changed, and as a public servant, I was too self-aware. I want them to be severely punished. I've never seen a public car like this in my hometown. Yamaguchi City has been introduced to the world, but is this the way it is? Please re-educate! !
