Outstanding concert hall. Been here for Pletnev Rachmaninov festival in the Great Hall. Acoustics is great, although some noises (I think from stage lighting) were a disturbance. Using cloak room is free, concert programs are free, and in the intermission you get free drinks! (Wine, beer, soft drinks, tea and coffee) They do it to attract young audience to classical concerts.

De Doelen is a building suitable for many events near Rotterdam central station. It is very easy to reach. Very suitable for concerts, fairs, shows and exhibitions. Be sure to buy tickets from the website. Finding a place can be quite difficult.

Nice concert hall with great acoustics (grote zaal), but with some downsides: No air conditioning whatsoever in the hall, it was very hot inside and everyone was sweating. Also, you can’t take your drinks inside the hall, which means you can’t have a drink while watching the performance.
