St James Theatre - Wellington Concerts 2026

Went to see the ballet. This is the second show I’ve been to since they renovated and it looks gorgeous - every seat is a good seat!

They have done up St James theatre and it looks really nice. Good comfortable seats and good view of stage.

Beautiful theatre, Swan Lake with the kids aged 7 and grandmother. The performance was divided onto sets giving the kids time to drink water, bathroom and let off (energy) steam which I was thankful for. I was lucky there wasn't anyone sitting in front of them to see but would recommend to anyone and will myself bring a cushion for their height in the future. There was a water station and store for food and drink and the entire venue was beautiful.

Great acoustics, seats D28&29 were excellent seats for watching the Exotic Marigold Hotel from. Easy access to these seats via Door 1. You can buy drinks & food onsite to take in to the theatre & even ice cream at half time. Should you need a wheelchair they have one that fits down the seat aisles, otherwise there's wheelchair seating at the end of some aisles

I watched Hansel & Gretel at the St James it is a great venue for Ballet. The renovations inside of the theatre was awe-inspiring. Beautiful cladding, very grand. The show: mesmerising!
