Absolutely loved this museum. Highly recommending to visit it if you want to have a deep dive into Japanese culture and art.

Really nice museum with a café and restaurant. Super nice view on the Wawel. Very kind staff, great exhibition! Would definitely recommend and come back! 🫶 Bonus: on Tuesday there is free entrance.

It is a lovely interactive museum. You can spend a long time going through and analysing the details of the artwork and historical pieces or browse through quite quickly. Everything is spaced in a way that you are able to go through comfortably even if there is a lot of people. Some areas are additionally limited to a certain number of people, so you might have to wait a moment but it helps to prevent crowding. There is sufficient parking space. The ticket price is comparable to other museums. There is a free cloak room. The bathrooms are clean and nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a cafe and gift shop as well.

Modern exhibitions by Japanese artists. Contemporary art lovers will enjoy it. I was impressed by the exhibition of Miyanaga Masakazu and his ideas. His authentic artworks are produced using a special glinding technique and look like religious icons.

A really unique and interesting museum, visit worthwhile and informative. The mix of art styles is fascinating & particular shout out to the depiction of rain and explaining how unique it is to have rain depicted in paintings & art from that era. Only slight detractor is that it isn’t always clear where to go or which direction to head in, some additional signage would’ve been ideal.
