Fantastic B&B — perfect combination of unique period character, and all the modern practicalities that really make a difference (good showers, air-conditioning, etc). Lovely friendly owner and staff — communicative, obliging, and common-sensical. Great location — much quieter than Ljubljana proper, but a short drive or bus ride in, and still with great walkable restaurants (Gostilna Maček 15mins away). Recommend this to anyone!

As a cultural monument, it wants to be a 'protocol venue', on the higher end of the pyramid. The house and its backyard certainly are the part, but one cannot ignore the fact that it is next to what seems to be a former factory. I suggest the owners plant as many trees and bushes as possible along their border to visually isolate the rest of the ugly village from the pretty 'Dacha'. Otherwise, it's allright. Some might complain it's expensive, but this is not some cheap village supermarket caffe. That little extra effort is worth that little extra price. Engraved glasses, copper plates, massive wood furniture, no plastic anywhere. And when the trees and bushes outgrow their surroundings, nobody will complain anymore about anything.

Built sometime in the late 19th century, and now restored by some people who truly appreciate the history of the building. Recommend a visit. You can also eat here though you need a reservation.
