Theatre on the Bay offers a delightful theatre experience with its beautiful view of Camps Bay, flexible dress code and inviting atmosphere. Be sure to arrive early enough to secure a good parking as outside parking near the theatre is limited. The foyer's bar area serves up cocktails, wine, non-alcoholic drinks and sweet treats, all of which can be enjoyed inside the theatre. Upstairs, a small bistro offers a tasty dining option. Despite its quaint setup, the theatre itself and bathrooms are clean and staff are friendly and attentive. A few extra seats in the foyer would be appreciated as we arrived almost an hour before the show and could not find a chair to sit on, but the quick service and comfortable seating inside make up for it. We saw "Amadeus" and were thoroughly impressed by the show's quality and the theatre's ambiance. We sat in row B and were very happy with our view of the stage and sound quality. Whether you’re a theatre regular or simply looking for a night out, Theatre on the Bay promises a memorable experience.

This is my favourite theatre. Of course, The Fugard will always have a special place in my heart. We went to see the latest production; “Spring Awakening “.

Review of theatre experience (4/5) Friendly helpful ushers. Funky wallpaper! Felt like a clean and well maintained theatre space. Excellent sound quality and the size of the theatre is really great for an intimate show! We'll be back for more! We sat down for a quick bite before the show at the restaurant upstairs. The gyros were super basic and lacked flavour overall. Things felt a bit run down, tatty and overlooked. Broken blinds, weird pieces of frayed white fabric as table cloths, basic cocktails that tasted a bit like watered down juice. Rather disappointing to be honest. They have such a prime property, but no effort made to enjoy the ocean view. Come on Theatre on the Bay! Spruce things up a bit, brighten up that space and improve the menu... it could be a wonderful attraction!

This one man show is very boring. Allan Committee attempts to get the crowd involved by flinging questions into the audience. If the response is not suitable, he has lost the plot. Very risky. He always comes with a flip chart_ same old, same old........ at R260 per person; not money well spent. Also you run a great risk of a R500 parking ticket if you park in the wrong spot, because formal parking is limited.

I have always enjoyed my visits to the Theatre on the Bay. The theatre and dance productions are always top notch. The actors put their all into every performance they do . The front of house staff are always so friendly and helpful. The entire vibe of this place is very welcoming, relaxed and friendly. I have just come back from watching the theatre production of Amadeus and highly recommend it.
