Crispy flavourful batter, well cooked Hake with loads of fries- good choice, but the burger here was the real way to go. Portions were good and drinks well priced. Waitress was attentive and we didn't wait long for food as they were not busy. Kids 15cm cheesy pizza was a perfect size and appreciate the forward thinking of serving milkshakes with lids. Would recommend stopping here if you have young kids to entertain. This isn't a quiet spot as it's on a busy main road, but the nature around you will give a beautiful casual environment. Recommend: Give cutlery and then serve food, even for pizza.

Franschhoek Cellar has one of the best value wine and cheese tastings on the blue line of the Franschhoek Wine Tram. The space is big with indoor and outdoor areas. The interior is modern, bright, and air-conditioned. Their outdoor area has a sizeable sheltered playground for kids to enjoy. Unfortunately, there's not much of a view at this location. It's along the main road, so you won't be getting the nice scenic view of mountains and vines. The wines we tasted were not the best, but still ok as house wine at restaurants. If pressed for time, I would skip this stop.

Awesome venue with incredible food to match. Great stop for lunch on the wine tram tour. Also one of the venues that we’ve been to with one of the better kids play areas that can keep the kiddos busier for longer while the adults can enjoy a glass of wine or two.

Our tour guides, Charles and Friday, were exceptional hosts throughout the visit. They provided us with a comprehensive tour of the winery, sharing their knowledge and passion for winemaking. Despite being slightly inebriated from the previous stops on the tour, their enthusiasm and expertise made the experience even more enjoyable. The aesthetics of Franschhoek Cellar were simply breathtaking. The picturesque surroundings provided numerous photo opportunities, making it a paradise for photography enthusiasts. It truly felt like stepping into a postcard-worthy scene. During the tour, we were treated to a quartet of wines, consisting of two white and two red varieties. Each wine was meticulously crafted, showcasing the winery's dedication to producing exceptional vintages. The flavors were exquisite, leaving a lasting impression on my palate. For lunch, we indulged in a delicious meal of fish and cheeseburgers. The service was attentive and friendly, ensuring that our dining experience was enjoyable. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, further enhancing the overall ambiance of the winery. The wine purchasing process was seamless, thanks to the helpful staff who guided us through the selection. I left Franschhoek Cellar with a few bottles of their exquisite wines, eager to relive the memories of this remarkable visit. From the start till finish we were handled like royalty. The best children's restaurant in Franschoek! The food was delicious and fresh. The children absolutely enjoyed their bolognaise too.
