Meropa standards have dropped significantly. The only thing that actually functions as it should is the casino. Furthermore, I sat with two clients in front of Jembe from 14h00 to 19h00, and not a single waiter came to take our order or greet us until we left. The outdoor furniture is not maintained, or cleaned there are frogs and lizards in the chairs and they have not been cleaned the white is leather, is black and brown.. Please Meropa, do better ! The potential is there for an amazing quick getaway ... restaurants have all closed ... how do you keep guests there on poor fast food menus. No, no no Please do better.

The whole place went into the stone age. Some animals are gone, shops are closed and empty. It used to be a great place to take the kids for the animals, butterflies and snakes.

In the middle of nowhere, a Moroccan style hotel. Decorated everywhere in a nice style. Rooms are not big but nice and cosy with most of your needs. Kasbah is the breakfast restaurant which is not hallal, so I was very limited in my choices which were ok. I tried the dinner restaurant which again is not hallal so, tried some seafood and veg pasta. Food is average but service is very slow. The pool is very nice but not well utilized. I think it is one of the best stays in Polokwane.

First day: Welcome was nice, no issues with check in. I was however disappointed with the food service, after ordering food at 19:00, I received my order after 21:30, It was most disappointing and I had to follow-up several times with the restaurant. The second and day onwards was much better. Rooms are clean, reception is friendly and welcoming, breakfast is not bad. I'd recommend if you don't require a lunch pack to be provided as they do not render that service. Also just note that there are no fridges in the rooms and the parking area is not shaded. The pool is a nice touch too.
