The architecture at this UNESCO World Heritage site is stunning. Between the ceramics and stained glass, there are so many beautiful small details. I especially loved the interior of the Administration Building. It was also very cool to learn more about the history of medicine in Barcelona and how the modernist architecture reflected and contributed to changing ideas about hygiene, ventilation and sunshine in treating patients. I highly recommend a visit and was surprised this was not featured in more best of Barcelona lists and guidebooks. I didn't buy tickets in advance in April. It was also great to see the space used for Fashion Week and loved all the creative looks.

This was my second visit to Sant Pau and it was just as amazing as the first, if not more so. Went on a Friday, just after opening, and purchased tickets at the entrance. I spend at least two hours here - the buildings, the tile work, the gardens are just spectacular! The history of the building and the hospital is fascinating and well presented. Highly recommended.

What a nice place to see!! You'll learn a bit of Barcelona history, making a step back in time, seing how patients were treated, and even some old medical instruments (how lucky we are now!!!). At the time, it was one of Europe's best hospitals (probably now still is, on the modern side of the building, but that's not something you'll see). Then, if you're lucky to spend Xmas in Barcelona, at night, you can enjoy the nice decorations, interactivity, and fun attractions they prepare. Sorry I did not make pictures, as I was enjoying the venue ;) Good to spend some time with your loved one, or with your kids (they'll love the Xmas vibe!)

The former hospital has amazing architecture . Very nice to walk around. A few buildings were closed but it did not disappoint. You can then take a nice walk to the centre.

Absolutely breathtaking grounds. You should plan to stay a while. The architecture is gorgeous, the atmosphere is so peaceful. Designed by the same architect as Palau de la Música Catalana. I’m surprised this isn’t a more popular attraction.
