Museu de la Ciutadella de Roses Concerts 2024

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Citadel of Roses with my family, and I must say it was a truly enchanting experience. The respectful restoration of this historical landmark truly captured the essence of its rich history while ensuring its longevity for generations to come. Walking through its ancient walls, we were transported back in time, marveling at the intricate architecture and the stories embedded within each stone. The Citadel of Roses is not just a monument; it's a testament to the importance of preserving our cultural heritage. Our family's visit was not only enjoyable but also educational, leaving us with a deeper appreciation for the history and craftsmanship that went into creating such a remarkable place.

Nice museum and walk around the grounds gives a good overview of the area throughout the ages, stop and watch the short film in the museum also keep a lookout for the snow capped mountains in the distance, lots to see and at only 4 euros it's a worthy visit

This a site worth visiting in Roses, it is very impressive. You can wander around on your own or take a guided tour (recommended), but do not let yourselves be molested by the 'wanabe' tour guides who have no knowledge and do not speak your language.

Absolutely loved it. What an interesting place. Views amazing as well. Good museum with time line. Toilets were clean and new. Only thing it lacked was a cafe! Very reasonable entry fee.

I simply loved the place and recommended it to others on my tour (who by and large liked it too). For 4 Euros you get a chance to tour a very large Renaissance citadel (slighted by Napoleon). English speaking visitors get a 4 side A4 laminated guide to the museum and a similar one to the exterior. There are current archaeological workings as well as restored walls. To the north one can see the Pyrenees. Typically, people seem to spend an hour and a half here.
