"I recently stayed at [Eurostars Hotel La Reconquista] and was extremely disappointed with my experience due to the air conditioning not working properly throughout my stay. Despite multiple attempts to adjust the thermostat, the room remained uncomfortably warm, making it difficult to sleep and relax. The lack of functioning air conditioning significantly impacted my overall comfort and enjoyment of the stay. Despite informing the staff about the issue, no satisfactory resolution was provided. For a hotel of this caliber, the inability to maintain basic amenities such as proper air conditioning is unacceptable. I would not recommend staying here until this issue is resolved." The lack of modern amenities only added to the feeling of being stuck in a bygone era.Considering the exorbitant price charged for a night's stay, one would expect a much higher standard of accommodation. Unfortunately, [Hotel Name] fell far short of this mark. I would strongly advise potential guests to seek accommodation elsewhere until the hotel undergoes a much-needed overhaul."

We stayed in this hotel 32 years ago on our wedding night, and this was the first time back there. Right from the start, the reception we received was superb. The two staff members on the reception desk were the most polite, friendly, and helpful team I have ever seen. The room was beautiful, and when we decided to have a nightcap in the bar, the knowledge and friendliness of the lady serving made the drinks all the better. What can I say about the breakfast but amazing. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone.

We (me and my husband) were really disappointed as to the service and safety. This is not what we expect from a 5* hotel and honestly have never had such a bad experience. We moved from one room to another after the fist night and left a medical device in the room which we reported immediately. We were assured (3 times) that the device would be sent back to us once found or the cost would be covered. After 2 weeks of not responding to the emails the hotel changed its mind. Very disappointing I must say. Additionally we don’t think this hotel should have a 5* rating considering many aspects. It needs introducing many changes (look, service, rooms etc)

No clue how this hotel gets 5 stars when you compare to other 5 star hotels. Very dated and musty smell. Even computer in the business center is probably 10+ years old. Pulled up and unloaded two large suitcases, two duffel bags, three backpacks, stroller seat and car seat (and a baby) and not until we lugged it all to the reception desk did one person ask if we needed help, a little too late. They gave us the wrong room category at first with two twin beds on wheels that literally rolled away from the walls when you sat on them. Worst is we had requested a baby crib and we walked into the room it smelled horribly of smoke. How could you ever think appropriate to put a baby (crib) in a room that smelled of smoke. Both rooms are on the small side. We obviously came in a low season saw maybe 4 guests total here so adds to the emptiness and most amenities (sauna) being shut. Think the only draw is the building is nice and in great location.

I wish I had more pictures but my snap of the lobby says it all. A classy place through and through. I believe it was an orphanage centuries ago. The restoration has done wonders to preserve this historic building. The rooms are well appointed and tastefully decorated so as not to clash with the architecture. The staff is top shelf and super friendly. And the lobby… just look at it ! Oviedo is the starting point for the original Camino and the city is also home to the best cookies in Spain, the moscovitas!!
