The Hermita of San Sebastián is a 19th century religious building in Sitges ⛪ and it is part of the Sitges cemetery 🪦 and it is located between San Sebastián beach and Balmins beach ⛱️. I passed my times but it was always closed 🚪. I was very curious about it and finally last Sunday was open and I was very happy to enter and to visit 😁. The ladies who were looking after the church, were really nice 🔝 It is a building with a single nave, with side chapels and a transept and. The façade has a symmetrical composition with a two-sloped roof . In the lower part there is a base of regular stone blocks 🪨. Inside there were many candles 🕯️ to honor the dead, typical of the Catholic religion 🙏🏽 Definitely it is worth a visit 👍🌟

SUCH a fun day, our only day in Sitges. Perfect weather, super-accommodating locals, and the absolute stunning city beach vibe make this trip well worth it when you’re anywhere close by. We took a train from Barcelona for about 14 Euro and it was scenic and comfortable. Once in Sitges, we visited two outdoor cafes and several shops before going to the beach for a few photos and taking in the churches.
