A beach like from the old times, with active fishing, never too crowded, some nice old architecture, lovely little parks... and most importantly: you can let your pets run free without getting in trouble.

The beaches in Vilagarcía are NOT the prettiest in the area. Compared to other local beaches, the "sand" is very coarse, the water isn't the cleanest, and the views leave something to be desired. The only reason to go here is out of convenience (or because you don't have a car to get to the nicer spots nearby). For a day at the beach, even locals prefer other locations along the ría.

The shore is very large and beautiful it ia just difficult to walk barefoot because of all seashells there are on the sand.

The regulation of electric scooters in the summer is urgent. Pedestrian area and another for bikes and scooters but both are the jungle.

To sunbathe or watch the sunset on a slightly thick towel is fine, but the sand and water are sad: it is dirty, with a lot of algae on the shore if it is low, the rafts, the sticks, shells and fat sand... It is worth taking the car to go to another beach. The good thing is the walk to Carril and the wooden tables in the pine forest.
