Hovet Reviews

If you can afford it, pay the extra to get into the VIP section. It's definitely worth it. We caught a train that stops only a short walk from Avicii Arena, making it very convenient. There is parking at the adjoining shopping centre in Globen if you prefer to drive. We went to watch Djurgården v Almtuna. Whether you're into ice hockey (we are) or not, it's a fabulous experience.

Super cheap entertainment, taking in a junior (U20) hockey game while on a trip to Stockholm!

Went to watch an Ice Hockey game here. Stadium is an older building but it had a great atmosphere and great views of the hockey. The entry and exit process was very quick and it has good transport links with the underground lines making getting there and back easy.

Came to Stockholm for a few days and booked tickets for the Ice Hockey the booking website has limited English translation but managed to book some seats only to find out on arrival that no bags of any size can be taken in with no storage facility available, so be aware…there is a huge arena next door which could be used for storage or maybe put some lockers outside the venue. Crazy. £35 wasted

Hovet (formerly known as Johanneshovs Isstadion or, in English: Johanneshov Stadium) is an arena located in the Johanneshov district of Stockholm (Stockholm Globe City) which is mainly used for ice hockey, concerts and corporate events. It was opened in 1955 as an outdoor arena, however a roof was added in 1962, and the arena interior has also been a subject to major renovation in 2002. The arena's main tenants are ice hockey clubs AIK and Djurgårdens IF. The official capacity is 8,094 spectators for ice hockey events and 8,300 during concerts.
