Skansen Reviews

Nice place to visit on a nice day. It can be very interesting for the kids and families. Plenty of things to do and see and you can easily spend half of a day here but also if you are in a hurry 2h can do the work. For me the most interesting things were animals and houses with old crafts.

Perfect place to stay the whole day. Beautifully laid out and a totally interesting history of Sweden. The animals were also great and everyone enjoyed it. Great food and just really nice with the small houses, like a farmers market. The only criticism is, that the animals don't have much space. Otherwise, it's a really great day trip destination in Stockholm. What's probably important for many people is, that it's a great destination for families.

What a gem! We could have easily spent a few days exploring everywhere and all the buildings! You have to pay separate for the aquarium inside but it's totally worth it. Lovely views of the city as well from the rose garden. All the staff were friendly and informative. Skansen is a must visit if visiting Stockholm!

I really enjoyed the visit. It will take half a day to see everything. I saw all the northern animals, only the bear postponed the performances until spring for understandable reasons🥱 Many ancient buildings of various purposes, cafes, entertainment for children, benches for picnics. Beautiful panoramas to the city. There is the center of the Baltic Sea. The oldest open-air museum is especially popular with parents with small children. Be sure to stop by😉

It’s an awesome place to bring your kiddo (and adults) to spend the energy. Lots of steep hills 😅, lots of things to explore. Especially we had lucky day to come with nice weather. I recommend you can take trams to Skansen then take SL boat to the next schedule.
