St. Jacobs Kyrka Concerts 2024

One most interesting fact is, in Sweden James and Jacob are interchanged, So, instead of James, this church is often called as St. Jacobs. Anyway, the church is located at Kungsträdgården metro station. From the garden, it can be viewed from one side with spring flowers and fountains. It is said, it was initially built in 1400s. The church is located near the Stockholm Opera and next to the Kungsträdgården park. The church is from the 17th century but has been gradually built up over time. The strong terracotta color in contrast to the copper rust colored roof caught my eye, and I became curious. The tall pillars, the altar, the characteristic stained glass windows, the pipe organ and the pulpit are among the most fascinating parts of the magnificent interior.

Beautiful church from the outside. Too bad it was closed when I came around 4pm.

A beautiful church situated along park near seaside. I liked the strikingly orange red color which stands out amongst the surrounding. Inside the church, it has a beautiful organ and it's interior was well maintained. It's great for photo shooting due to its striking color.
