Wow! Had the most lovely and delicious dinner. It was beautifully plated and the dishes were so balanced and cooked perfectly. Chef Kull forages some of his own herbs daily in the forest and clearly puts so much passion into his dishes! Adis suggested the best wine to pair with our meal and it was the best experience. Can’t wait to go again!

I have stayed here several times over the last five years and have been pleased. Although I travel to Switzerland for work at least annually I do not speak Swiss-German and only have minimal French. The staff here though almost always has an English speaking member on duty. Everyone I have dealt with has always been pleasant and worked hard to make my stay enjoyable. The rooms are clean and well prepared. The restaurant serves excellent dinners which I am always happy to eat. If you feel like something else there are many places within walking distance. Breakfast is traditional for Switzerland which Americans may not be used too although I have come to love the fresh breads, spreads, yogurt, fruit and incredible coffee. Parking underground is appreciated on days with bad weather. It can be a little tight for Americans not used to it. The only thing I wish they had would be at least one English speaking television channel, BBC, CNN, anything. I understand this is beyond the hotel's control as the town controls the selection.

I am frequent customer of the Restaurant Weisses Kreuz. I come often in the afternoon where I never had a complaint about the service the food. Everything was tip top. But this time I went in the morning and I had a bad experience. The waitress was a little bit rude, it seems I was disturbing her for asking for a cup of tea. There was not even a welcoming Grüesech or Guten Morgen. Then when she was preparing the tables for the midday and I realized (because of the card she placed and also because of the cutlery she placed) that my table was being reserved (no time of the reservation written). I felt that I was being kicked out. So I finished my tea and payed (no tips) No goodbye or Danke or Adieu. I’m not a sophisticated client. But I guess politeness and communication should be a priority on a waitress list. A client that orders a cup of tea can also be a potential client that brings more income to the restaurant. An example of underestimation. Maybe I was hungry and I wanted to eat after, maybe I was flexible to change my place. Maybe in a short moment a group of ten colleagues wanted to come and join me (more clients) I don’t know. I hope that this review help as a reminder that is never rude to be polite. Specially now that now that the restaurants needs clients because of the corona crisis.

This place is super nice and the food is delicious. The decor is cozy and inviting and the staff is very friendly. The pasta is freshly made. Very clean.

Quaint hotel with superb restaurant! Secure parking too. Part conference centre part traditional gästhaus. Not on the tourist trail, so if you authentic, well worth a visit.
