St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast Reviews

A Cathedral with an imponet structure! Belfast Cathedral, also known as St Anne's Cathedral, is located on Donegall Street, Belfast. It is an unusual space as it serves two separate dioceses. It is the focal point of Belfast's Cathedral Quarter. It has a small garden next to it where you can have a stroll. The surroundings are not particularly beautiful but it is worth a visit. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to visit the Cathedral inside, but from the images available it looks very interesting and beautiful.

Lovely evening and enjoyed the music and the atmosphere. Church venue is naturally chilly but it was particularly cold due to the time of year-hence 4 stars. Will definitely consider another event but at a different venue.

For a small entrance fee (2.5£), you can enter inside. Since it was recently rebuild the cathedral is well maintained and presented. The staff is really friendly and helpful. It would take you around 45 minutes to tour yourself around and admire the artifacts and the details. There are text scripts around but you can purchase the official guide for 0.5£ at the entrance. It worth focusing on the ambulatory windows which are the only part of the old church which were saved o er the ages.

What a lovely experience. The string quartet was amazing and I was especially impressed by the background information about Hans Zimmer. It made each peace of music played even more enjoyable. Only downside was the horrible seating and it was very cold ❄ Even with cushion and outdoor winter clothing. A cathedral like this should have a better seating than the wooden chairs in size as if made for children only

So wonderfully atmospheric! We went to see a string quartet, and they were amazing. The hundreds of candles added to the overall effect. Bring a blanket if you are going at night.
