Dead Wax Digbeth Reviews

Quirky pub in Digbeth. Good atmosphere and great pints. Love the aesthetic. Loads of vinyls, posters, photobooth, B&H Gold cigarette machine, outdoor beer garden, live sports, and music. Great pint of Guinness in here. A home fan's only pub on Blues Matchday's.

Came here for a gig. The sound was incredible, amazing atmosphere and it is one of the only venues around that treats you like an adult. The door men were friendly, and relaxed. All the staff treat their customers like adults. Most venues these days require you to be almost strip searched and make you drink your drink from a plastic beaker. None of that nonsense here. Just good music, great staff and a great time.

Went to see the indy band Eevah at Dead Wax recently. Good sound and lighting given the size of the space. Staff friendly, helpful, and on point. Granted, it was a Monday evening and not much of a crowd, but it had a nice vibe about it nonetheless. I'll be keeping an eye on their roster for sure. Also, it's only a 15-20 min walk from New St and well lit, so it's low stress too. They have a variety of non alcoholic drinks too. I tried 0.0% Guinness and enjoyed it. Check them out and go. The gig ticket was £10.

Came here for a gig in the music stage upstairs. Before the doors opened, I enjoyed a few drinks downstairs. The staff were trendy and personable. The venue had a great atmosphere, and catered to a music loving crowd which gave it a very authentic vibe, despite being part of a chain. Overall a great experience.

Went there for a gig. Great staff, amazing music. Stupidly expensive drinks and the filthiest toilets I’ve seen since Glastonbury 1994. Wouldn’t eat here if you paid me, if that’s the general attitude to cleanliness. Filth. EDIT: The owner was off last week and having engaged with him I’m convinced that this must have been a one off, so I’m changing my review to reflect this.
