Symphony Hall Concerts 2024-2025

Always a great experience here and this time was no different. Went to see the afternoon performance of Beethoven, Walton and Elgar with my teenage son and the staff were friendly and polite, even offering us better seats as the hall wasn't full. We declined, as my son was happy where he was, but the fact they offered to those of us up in the gods a better seat option was a really nice touch. As a point of note, having sat in many areas of the hall before, the chairs are actually the most comfortable in the grand tier along the sides of the hall, so for £25 a seat I was very comfy, happy and the acoustics were fantastic! Back there next month (train strikes willing) for a spot of Gershwin - looking forward to being back.

Great concert venue!! I've never seen a bad gig here, whether it's been a rock concert or a classical recital. The sound is amazing.

Went to see the Aussie Pink Floyd. The hall is fantastic with comfortable seating. Parking was good at Q-Park about a ten minute walk away. The staff were generally pleasant except one over officious little security man at the VIP Q&A, which leads me to the not so good. The feed back from the box office about the VIP tickets wasn't good. When we got there none of the security knew anything about the VIP pre-show and sent us to the door for the main show (2 different fellas!) Finally we found the desk hidden away and a lady came over and ushered us in. All in all....a great venue with mostly pleasant staff but get there early and don't expect great communication before the event.

As always, the music at the New Year's Gala was fantastic, but very little atmosphere this year due to moving the event to the afternoon. This was even more apparent from the amount of empty seats at a typically sell-out concert. Many people were disappointed with the atmosphere, but again, the music was fantastic and beautifully played.

Brilliant place to watch, listen and enjoy a live orchestra. We went and celebrated May the 4th, Star Wars! Purchased 2 x age 18-30 tickets in advance and collected on the evening which was quick and easy, the queue to purchase drinks and snacks was no longer than 5 minutes. The event itself was spectacular with everyone of all ages enjoying the concert. It was a relaxed evening with even some of the musicians dressed in Staw Wars cosplay, which only added to the concert. Magical evening by talented musicians!
