Fantastic venue to see live bands, we have seen many over the years. Never too massive a bar queue. Last time I went, I was fortunate to see the bar room on Level 1 open for the first time! We visit probably 4 or 5 times a year.

First time visiting this venue and it was epic. Some traditional old decor which makes it quite a wow to look at inside. Two levels. Helpful staff all round, from those at the door, crowd control, bar service and general security round the building, all helpful and friendly when the toilet queue got too big they directed us to other toilets which they then opened for us which was a great touch. Epic event space, felt safe and had lots of fun. Drinks were expensive small vodka coke and small gin and tonic came to £18 .

This was the third time attending with my brother, who has mobility problems. Every time we have had a fantastic experience thanks to Becky and the disabled facilities on offer here, particularly the separate seated area with a great view of the stage. Becky goes over and above to help and advise to ensure we always have the best time and enables us to continue to enjoy our shared passion for live music. The only negative is the drinks prices (£7.80 a pint!), but I t’s a beautiful venue and the sound quality is always excellent.

We went to see Kula Shaker last night at the O2 Academy - I was blown away. What an absolutely amazing venue for a gig. The sound, the lighting, the old architecture was beautiful - it was just as good as going to a gig in London and reminded me of those good old days. I'll be going more often.

The O2 Academy Bournemouth, as a disabled person, was really accommodating to my needs and treated me and my carer both warmly and professionally. Especially Becky who went above and beyond to show us where the wheelchair-accessible toilet was, where we would be situated in the venue, and letting us know where the medical room was. Also, have to thank the paramedic who allowed me to use the medical room on several occasions. And one of the venue security members who also helped with several things. If anyone with a disability either in a wheelchair or other apparatus I would highly recommend this venue. Plus where you are situated you have a wonderful view of the stage, without fear of being bumped into and onto. If anyone is interested I went to the Bury Tomorrow headline show with support from We Came as Romans and Kingdom of Giants.
